Project Overview
The design-build of this cutting-edge VR Gaming Facility for Drink Box Studio was spearheaded by Capilan Group's Specialized Infrastructure/Data Centre Team. We started by basically living in a 3D BIM environment to map out every single sensor mounting point, but standing in the physical "Black Box" shell with the matte acoustic paneling finally going up and the heavy-duty overhead framework being hoisted into place really puts the scale of this project into perspective. It’s not a box where you can just stand & drink; it’s a high-performance virtual reality gaming engine where we’re balancing the industrial grit of exposed cable trays and server racks with the surgical precision needed for millimeter-accurate motion capture tracking.
